A nickel-chromium alloy that achieves high strength through precipitation hardening. It exhibits good corrosion and oxidation resistance combined with excellent mechanical properties at temperatures ranging from cryogenic up to 704 °C. Alloy X-750 finds application in a number of sectors. It finds applications in rotor blades, wheels, bolts and other structural members in gas turbines. General industrial applications include heat-treating fixtures, extrusion dies and forming tools and test machine grips. Alloy X-750 also utilised for springs and fasteners operating from sub-zero temperatures to 650°C.
